A low-slung pedal tone sets the mood of foreboding before controlled, twin-guitar fury grabs at your guts and doesn't let go. "I will break you no matter what it takes," growls Ross Dolan. That's not a threat, it's a promise.

2. "Providence"
Topping the four minute mark, this martial track charts a relentless tromp across difficult terrain. A deceptively downtempo song, despite Steve Shalaty's brutally subdivided double bass drum. This is not your father's marching band music.

3. "Still Lost"
Brutish drums patterns and sewer-sweeping vocals pan in stereo on this twisted masterpiece. While questioning received notions of faith and righteousness, Immolation delivers their own brand of righteous fury.

4. "Swallow The Fear"
After a minimal guitar lead asserts its piercing presence, the band charges into a shifting sequence of stunning, nut-tight rhythms. Fear won't be the only thing to swallow if you're eating a sandwich when you hear this one.

5. "What They Bring"
Some say that the unknown is more frightening that the known. The foreboding reaches its final manifestation on the hard charger. "This day will be our last," sings Ross Dolan. What a way to go.
